Renner Aquaris YM-M042 is a professional pigmented water-based stain from the Aquaris range, specifically formulated for exterior hardwoods rich in tannins and extractives.
It is suitable for Oak, Chestnut and Iroko and offers excellent stability in flow-coating applications. The formulation contains IPBC and is available in a range of wood tones.
Recommended uses: window frames, shutters, entrance doors, garden furniture, gazebos, balconies, roof beams, exterior cladding and fences.
Application: flow-coating, dipping and brush. The product is supplied ready to use; use the clear version to lighten the shade and mix thoroughly before application.
Substrate preparation: the wood should be properly dried, approximately 12–14% moisture content, clean and free from grease, wax and resin. Renner technical data specifies 180-grit preparation for raw hardwood.
YM-M042 can be overcoated with compatible Aquaris exterior water-based intermediates, primers and clear or pigmented topcoats.
Certification: coloured YM-M042/--Txx versions are included in Renner Italia's COSMOB Qualitas Praemium – Indoor Hi-Quality – PLUS range compliant with Italian CAM Building criteria.
