The TDM Brass art. 1445 tee fitting with removable insert belongs to Series 1400, a nickel-plated brass compression fitting system for multilayer pipe with removable insert. It is designed to create a branch on multilayer pipe using the Series 1400 system.
Series 1400 is suitable for drinking-water distribution, sanitary and heating systems and is designed for PN10 plumbing and heating installations with water and hot water. The manufacturer declares a maximum allowable pressure of 10 bar and an operating temperature range from -20 °C to +110 °C. Fittings use CW617N brass according to UNI EN 12165 for forged parts and UNI EN 12164 for bar-machined parts; threads comply with UNI EN ISO 228 and seals with UNI EN 681-1:2006.
The removable insert allows the system to be adapted to different compatible pipe sizes. Sealing uses three EPDM PEROX O-rings together with compression of the split ring; a PTFE washer provides dielectric separation between the aluminium layer of the pipe and the brass fitting. TDM Brass guarantees Series 1400 compatibility with the multilayer pipes specified in its catalogue and stresses correct pipe calibration and deburring.
